CODE OF ETHICS FOR CRANE & HOIST ENGINEERING
I pledge to uphold and advance the integrity, honor and dignity of the engineering profession by:
A. Using my knowledge and skill for the enhancement of human dignity to the glory of God.
B. Being honest and impartial, and serving with fidelity the public, my clients and my profession.
C. Striving to increase my competence in my field of practice.
The Fundamental Canons of Ethical Practice:
1. I will hold paramount the safety, health and welfare of the public in the performance of my professional duties.
2. I will perform engineering services only in the areas of my competence.
3. I will continue professional development throughout my career.
4. I will act in professional matters for each client as a faithful agent or trustee, and will avoid conflicts of interest or the appearance of conflicts of interest.
5. I will build my professional reputation on the merit of my services and my personal integrity and will not compete unfairly with others.
6. I will associate only with reputable persons and organizations.
7. I will consider environmental impact in the performance of my professional duties.
8. I will issue public statements only in an objective and truthful manner.
