TRAILER LOADER DRAWINGS

MAR STB-15000-HD Log Truck Trailer Loader

Most of the log truck trailer loaders (a.k.a. Trailer Hoists) furnished to the forest products industry from the late 1960's through the 1990's were supplied by MAR Hook and Equipment, Inc. of Aberdeen, WA and later of Sandy, OR. These trailer loaders were manufactured and sold by MAR based on patents provided to company founder John H. Mitchell. So far as I am aware, MAR was the only regular manufacturer of these devices which are mostly found located at log sorting yards in North America and elsewhere.

With the dissolution in 1999 of the MAR corporation and the general downturn in the forest products industry over the past decades, the industry has not had a regular supplier of these helpful devices for awhile. MAR sold their trailer loader parts inventory to Arrow Crane Hoist; and Washington Crane and Hoist also supplies parts for the MAR trailer loaders in order to keep the existing units up and operating.

As Chief Engineer for MAR Hook from 1969 to 1999, I (J.D. Mitchell, P.E.) am quite familiar with the requirements and design of these devices and so I designed an improved UTL model in 2002. My design improved on the proven advantages of the MAR product so that log yard owners would have a way to install new and/or replacement trailer loaders. The copyrighted UTL design is available in the form of engineering drawings which provide all the information needed to manufacture and assemble the 15,000# maximum capacity trailer loader. Crane and Hoist Engineering does not manufacture any equipment or machinery and so the only option is to purchase the drawings for manufacture by others.

Those who would like to purchase a set of these copyrighted drawings can do so for a price of only US$495.00 per set. Additional sets purchased at the same time by the same buyer can be had for only US$95.00 per set (a set for the office and a set for the shop, etc.). Shipping and handling is included for all shipments to locations in the continental United States. Send all inquiries to contact.
